AFFECTS ON THE CLUB
PRELIMINARY STUDIES BEGIN POOL REHABILITATION WORKS This week, around the gymnasium building and in the inner hall of the men’s locker rooms, tests will be carried out to verify the soundness of the current constructions. During the week we will suffer certain effects of the flow of people and the noise of chipping machines. The performance will last the whole week. We ask for your understanding for the inconvenience they will cause, typical of works. Soon, we will have a similar performance with the geotechnical study of the soil, of which we will inform you beforehand. Impacts due to coves in different areas of the club Until Friday, April 19, we will carry out, in some areas of the club, a series of actions prior to the works on the pool that will begin in September:
From Monday to Friday: in the table tennis area and the swimming pool.

We will have noise for almost the whole day
From Tuesday to Thursday: affected at the entrance to the men’s locker room.
CLOSING of the main entrance to the men’s changing room (stairs) and temporary opening of the emergency door to the sauna and shower area.

The toilets and hand wash will remain open, but with an area enabled for the collection of materials delimited by fences.
We will have noise for three days
The tennis courts from 1 to 8 and the gym area will suffer noise throughout the week, we ask for understanding and patience from our members.
Access through the emergency exit of the men’s changing room is accessed by the stairs of the social track which are closer to the visitors’ car park which borders the Josep Munté children’s park.
If all goes well, the work will be finished on Friday and we will have the operational area back on Saturday.
SPORTS PERSONALITIES AT THE CLUB Last Saturday, the club hosted the filming of an advertisement for a well-known car brand on the occasion of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell.
Former American basketball player and sports commentator Joe Arlauckas and ATP tennis players Matteo Arnaldi and Yoshihito Nishioka visited us and were delighted with our facility.
CHAMPIONS OF CATALONIA BRONZE TENNIS
The Men’s B Boys’ tennis team has been proclaimed Champion of Catalonia after beating Club Tennis Torelló by 4-1. We congratulate both the boys, as well as their families and coaches, for this hard-earned victory!
The boys’ A team lost in the semi-finals against RCTB while the girls’ team lost in the semi-finals against the Laietania Athletic Centre.
EXPERIENCES AT GODÓ
The Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell that is being held this week also gives our tennis players the opportunity to experience unforgettable moments. Judit Pla played as a guest in the first President’s Cup Tournament, where she had David Ferrer as her partner.
Victor Pla and Blanca Lorente also participated in the clinic, and piloted with Pablo Carreño and Jaume Munar.
PRESENTATION OF THE BOOK ‘EL CÁNCER PARTIDO A PARTIDO’
This coming Thursday, April 18 at 7 p.m. in the pergola we will welcome Robert Hernando, author of the book ‘El Cáncer Partido a Partido, firmando el empate’.
In this, Joan Capdevila, RRII of the RCD Espanyol of Barcelona, Ander Mirambell, ex-skeleton pilot, Marcela Ferrari, director of Padel at CE Laietà, and Carolina Mateo, companion of oncology patients, will remain as speakers. It will be presented and moderated by the communicator and presenter of LAGRADAONLINE, Francesc Via.

THE BASKETBALL SECTION DOESN’T STOP!
The Women’s Premini started the day on Saturday morning, in a game controlled at all times and which ended with victory. Then, they played the Men’s Premini where the opponent stood up and it was very difficult to overturn the scoreboard and the victory escaped them. Infantil also played and, despite the bad start at the start, they broke the game and took a wide victory.
At the home of the rivals, neither Cadet B nor Junior C could win, the cadets competed until almost well into the last quarter and the juniors tried to rectify the bad start, but they could not succeed.
In the afternoon, Junior B played against Frederic Mistral and Senior B against Canovelles in our pavilion, the juniors were able to stand up to the leader, but could not beat them. Instead, the seniors started the game very well, going 24 to 4 in the first quarter, but ended up winning by only 10 points. Thus, they are placed with 15 wins and 6 losses, as third placed and with 18 wins and 2 losses, as solo leaders, respectively.
As visitors, it was the Mini Blanc’s turn to lose, despite not having played badly, moving the ball and creating spaces. The Sots-21 fell on the track of Granollers where there was great collective work. In this way, they are third with 15 wins and 7 losses.
The Senior A could not compete in the match against the leaders, the Navy, and the salvation and maintenance of the category is increasingly in doubt. And the Junior A, played against Artesa de Segre in a very competitive one-on-one match. With this defeat they fit two in a row, with a total of 11 against 11 victories, being able to maintain sixth place.
On Sunday morning, the Pre-Infantile, Mini Fúcsia and Cadet A played at the rivals’ home, all of them were able to take home a victory. The pre-children after an extension, wins by the smallest difference, the minis dominate the game from start to finish without escaping at any time, and the cadets where thanks to the cuts and small advantages they won.
PADDLE FOR EVERYONE
The boys and girls of Padel per Tothom wear new shirts and last Thursday they trained accompanied by our RRII member, Àlex Sala, and his manager, Yolanda Mirabete.
Our club’s CSR project is increasingly known and appreciated by our members! We keep working to make a better world!
MINORS AND YOUNG PADEL MEETING
From our club we are organizing meetings for minors and young people to offer the possibility of playing to boys and girls who take padel lessons throughout the year, but who never compete. Also for those who do play competitively, but want to practice more.
The first meeting will be on April 27 from 4 to 8 p.m.!
The price is €5 for school students and/or members and €12 for non-members. Encourage your friends and come play!

BASKETBALL TECHNOLOGY IS BACK
On Wednesday, May 1, from 5 to 7 p.m., the basketball section has prepared a new training session in the club pavilion for boys and girls who are not part of Laietà’s basketball teams and want to get to know our club.
