THE FARRÉ SCHOOL JOINS THE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY AT THE LAIE
Our club will celebrate Women’s Day this Friday, March 8, with a whole series of events to commemorate this day.
The Farré School joins the party and during the morning there will be concerts in the pergola by the performers Dafne Piñero (piano), Olga Pacheco (violin) and Adriana Quintero (guitar).
Neka will offer a pilates class on tracks 1 and 2 outdoors (if the weather permits) and in the new pergola on the terrace we will be able to find Sílvia Monclús, from Estetica Laietà, she will set up a tent to make a diagnosis of the skin of the partners who approach it.
From 12 to 1 p.m. anyone passing by will be able to taste some healthy food courtesy of our restaurateur, Centx100 Laietà.
Our new technical sponsor, Le Coq Sportif will accompany us and we will be able to reflect on our female references. In the Directed Activities Room there will be the large bow made by Montse Sandoval.
So that the members can take pictures of each other when they go to their classes. LAIESTORE ByPadelnuestro will also offer a promotion for women.

The junior padel team remains in the second category
Laie’s youth team has managed to stay in the second category in the Catalan Team Championship. The competition took place in Lleida and our boys gave everything to achieve their goal.

The veteran padel team was proclaimed this weekend the consolation champion in the Catalan Championship for senior veteran teams.

This weekend we were able to enjoy 12 home games and only two teams played as visitors. In addition, we were able to experience a match of our Senior A who played against BAM and thanks to the support of many players from the base they won and are placed favorably in the classification to continue fighting for the goal. Players, we need you in every game!
Entering all the games of the section, on Saturday morning at the club they played the Mini Fúcsia, who despite the good work could not overcome the rival, the Preinfantil, who won in a very good offensive and defensive game, the Children, who lost in a very tight and well-worked match and the Men’s Premini, who came out very focused and gained distance on the scoreboard.
The only two away games were played by the Mini Blanc and the Women’s Premini on Saturday morning, the minis worked the game from start to finish and the preminis, our panthers, played a great team and defensive game .
In the afternoon, apart from Senior A, Junior A and Senior B played, the juniors won by the minimum against Martinenc when 0.6 seconds were left before the end of the game, thus they are sixth with 9 wins and 9 defeats
The seniors also won widely against Canyelles in a match where they played very solidly with their game, with this victory they have already won 14 matches and are mathematically second despite having played one match less than the first and being tied notes.
On Sunday morning we experienced the matches of Cadet B, who won thanks to the great outside success and defensive rebounding, and Junior C, who lost even though they fought until the last moment, great attitude from all players
To close the day, on Sunday afternoon it was the turn of Cadet A, Junior B and Under-21s. The cadets could not win against a very physical opponent, where despite the good defense, the attack broke down too much.
The juniors worked from start to finish in their match against La Penya where, in addition, they recovered the “basket average”, in this way they are second in the classification. Finally, the Sots-21 couldn’t overcome Vilanova despite the good work to try to stop the opponent’s inside game, so they are fourth in the league with 11 wins and 6 losses.
