UPDATE ON THE RECENT PROGRESS OF THE NEW POOL AND SPA WORKS
Dear members,
We would like to inform you about the recent progress of the construction works for the new pool and spa, as well as the expected timeline for the coming months.
Although, due to a delay in installation, it has not yet been possible to complete the full handover of the works, a partial handover has been carried out. Thanks to this, since last Friday the Club has taken possession of some areas of the new building, such as the extended group activities room and the two terraces.
These areas, however, cannot yet be put into operation until the first occupancy license is obtained, which must be granted by the Licensing Department of the Les Corts District. While we cannot confirm an exact date, we expect this to happen around Christmas.
Regarding the pool, the works have allowed the heating of the pool basin to be completed, and therefore, starting tomorrow Tuesday, the pool will once again be operational with hot water.
We remind you that, according to the regulations of the Government of Catalonia, the use of the pool in winter format —with the dome closed and hot water— requires the mandatory use of a bathing cap, except for people with alopecia.
We also inform you that female members may now access the pool directly from their changing rooms.
Male members, however, will not yet be able to access via the interior corridor connecting the locker rooms to the pool until the license is obtained. Temporarily, they will have to use the exterior corridor, properly signposted, as was the case during the summer.
This partial handover also allows us to organize guided visits to the new building and terraces. Therefore, we inform you that starting Tuesday 2nd, these visits will be available.

ANTOINE GÓMEZ RECEIVES RECOGNITION FROM THE CATALAN TENNIS FEDERATION
Antoine Gómez, a tennis player from our club, was honored at the official ceremony of the Catalan Tennis Federation, where the champions and finalists of the 2025 Catalonia Championships were celebrated.
A well-deserved recognition that highlights his consistency, effort, and the excellent work he has shown throughout the season.
From the Club, we extend our warmest congratulations and wish him great success in his upcoming sporting challenges.
LAIESPORT CHILDREN FILL CE LAIETÀ WITH CHRISTMAS SPIRIT
This Saturday we enjoyed one of the most special mornings of the season: the children of Laiesport decorated the CE Laietà Christmas Tree, a tradition that year after year fills the club with joy, creativity, and festive excitement.
The activity transformed the club into a space full of magic, colours, and smiles. The kids enjoyed a morning of play, creativity, and fun, leaving their mark on a tree that now shines with the Christmas spirit of our club.
From CE Laietà, we thank all the families for their participation and celebrate an initiative that strengthens our sense of community and reminds us of the importance of sharing these moments together.
BRING YOUR SOLIDARITY TOY AND SUPPORT THE SOLIDARITY FIREFIGHTERS
This Christmas, CE Laietà joins a beautiful and generous initiative: the Toy Collection Campaign promoted by the Solidarity Firefighters, with the goal of ensuring that no child is left without a gift this holiday season.
How can you take part?
From December 1st to 12th, we invite all members to bring a new toy — non-warlike and non-sexist.
You can drop it off at Member Services for a quick and easy donation.
Every toy matters. Together, we can help many children enjoy a happier Christmas.
The big solidarity event – December 12th
On Friday, December 12th, from 4 pm to 8 pm, we will host a very special afternoon at the Club with the collaboration of the Solidarity Firefighters.
What will you find?
– Firefighters displaying their intervention equipment and letting children experience what it feels like to be a firefighter for a day.
– Solidarity toy sales (memory games, cooperative games, etc.).
For every toy sold, the Solidarity Firefighters will donate another one to the campaign.
A fun, family-friendly and 100% supportive afternoon filled with true Christmas spirit.

BASKETBALL WEEKEND
This weekend brought several outstanding performances from our teams, who showed a great level of play, commitment, and competitive ambition.
These are the teams that achieved victory in this round:

– U14 Boys (Infantil B)
We want to congratulate all the players for their dedication, as well as the coaches for their continuous daily work. We also extend a special thank-you to the families, who support us week after week and help our sports project grow.
We continue moving forward with energy and enthusiasm.

GREAT SEASON FOR ALL OUR PADDLE TEAMS
This weekend we wrapped up the season for our men’s and women’s teams with great energy, attitude, and competitive spirit.
It has been a season full of unforgettable moments and tremendous effort from all our teams. We are very proud of the work done by both the players and the captains of each group, and we want to congratulate them for their dedication and commitment to improvement.
Catalan Women’s League A: Very positive results and an excellent season! We remain in 2nd division, continuing to gain experience and strength.
Catalan Men’s League A: Despite losing in the promotion playoff finals, the team stays one more year in 2nd division. The future looks bright!
Catalan Men’s League B: Fantastic victory in the playoff finals! Thanks to the effort of the whole team, we stay in 3rd division for another season.
Catalan Men’s League C: Great season from the whole team, and despite the challenges, we remain in 4th division to keep growing.
Catalan Men’s League D: Despite the drop to 5th division, the team showed great attitude and determination. We keep working together!
Veterans League A: The team continues to stand out in 1st division of the Senior Interclubs League of Barcelona. A great season for this reference group!
Veterans League B: A very competitive season, finishing with promotion to 2nd division! Showing all their experience and quality.
Veterans League C: We remain in 4th division, fighting with strength. A team that never stops surprising!
LAIESPLAI CHRISTMAS CAMP – UNLEASH THE ACTOR OR ACTRESS INSIDE YOU!
This Christmas, Laietà rolls out the red carpet: lights, camera… and action!
We present the Laiesplai Christmas Camp “A Hollywood Christmas”, a program full of fantasy, adventure and moments that will make kids shine like real movie stars.
This year, children will experience activities inspired by some of the most beloved Christmas universes. Each day will feel like a special film shoot: stories with ice princesses, magical train rides to the North Pole, funny escapades, mischievous characters, and plenty of surprises.
There will be no shortage of varied and fun activities: sports challenges, themed circuits, gymkhanas, creative workshops, and imaginative dynamics.
What will they experience?
– Action-packed moments inspired by Home Alone
– Frozen-style adventures inspired by Frozen
– A magical journey with The Polar Express
– Fun missions inspired by The Grinch
– Christmas workouts worthy of the best elves
All with an educational and social approach, where teamwork, coexistence and sportsmanship play a central role.
And that’s not all…
On December 23rd we will celebrate our traditional Tió.
On the last day, we will enjoy the Great Laietà Oscars Gala, with a red carpet, fun awards and unforgettable memories.
We will also receive a very special visit: Their Majesties the Three Wise Men, so children can give them their letter in person.

THIS CHRISTMAS, FOOTBALL CAMP AT LAIETÀ!
These holidays, children aged 4 to 12 can enjoy the CE Laietà Christmas Football Camp, an ideal opportunity to have fun, learn and practice sport in a festive and family-friendly environment.
The camp will take place on December 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31, and offers different schedule options to adapt to each family’s needs:
9 am to 5 pm with lunch and afternoon snack
9 am to 1 pm without lunch
9 am to 3 pm with lunch
A perfect proposal for the little ones to enjoy an active Christmas, playing football and sharing great moments with new friends at our club.
