THE SPANISH TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP IS COMING
This Sunday the Spanish Championship for Veterans +55 will take place on our tennis courts, so we want to invite all members who enjoy this milestone to our club.
The championship will be contested against Club Deportivo Brezo Osuna. From 10 o’clock there will be individual matches and, in the event of a tie, the deciding doubles will be played afterwards.
We wish our Laietans the best of luck!
GUILLERMO CAVANILLAS, AT THE WORLD TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP
Our partner Guillermo Cavanillas, will participate from March 10 to 22 in the World Tennis Championship for individual and teams held this year in Turkey.
Cavanillas, club man, is excited by the milestone and, in the words of the player, “for me it is a personal challenge, since it has been a year since the injury, and that is why I am happy to be able to take on this challenge. I thank the club staff who have been unconditionally by my side since they knew I had this competition.”
One of the people who has been with him, training and supporting him is Manolo Ramos, captain of the veteran team, who you can see in the photograph. “Guillermo is an exceptional person and a great player, so we wish him all the luck in the world in this championship in which he will be measured against the best players in the world.”
We will be very attentive to his evolution in the Tournament. From CE Laietà we wish the best to this great player, and a better person.

Tomorrow, Friday March 8, is International Women’s Day and we will have a morning full of activities to commemorate this day.
In the new pergola, the Farré School will hold a series of small concerts in the pergola with the performers Dafne Piñero (piano), Olga Pacheco (violin) and Adriana Quintero (guitar).
Neka will offer a pilates class on tracks 1 and 2 outdoors (if the weather permits) and in the new pergola on the terrace we will be able to find Sílvia Monclús, from Estetica Laietà, she will set up a tent to make a diagnosis of the skin of the partners who approach it.
From 12 to 1 p.m. anyone passing by will be able to taste some healthy food courtesy of our restaurateur, Centx100 Laietà.
Our new technical sponsor, Le Coq Sportif will accompany us and we will be able to reflect on our female references. In the Sala d’Activitats Dirigides there will be the large bow made by Montse Sandova so that the members can take pictures of each other when they go to their classes.

BASKETBALL ‘PROJECT PUSH’ PRESENTATION
In recent months, as a result of the concern of some parents to improve the functioning of the basketball section, a working committee has been set up which, together with the Club, have worked on a new project to give an impetus to Laie basketball in the coming years.
If you wish, you can attend the assembly of the CE Laietà basketball section where we will present the EMPENTA 2024 PROJECT.
It will take place tomorrow, Friday, March 8 at 7:15 p.m. in the adjacent rooms of the social court (under the restaurant). You can register HERE
We will explain to you what the project consists of, the actions that have been launched, and new programs to improve the operation of the section.

This Easter, enjoy Laiesport at the club! From March 25 to 28, boys and girls aged 3 to 12 will be able to enjoy a sports adventure they will not forget. Consult the dossier of Laiesport de Setmana Santa. You can consult the information file HERE.

CIVILITY CAMPAIGN IN THE LAIE
Our club wants to improve day by day and is experiencing changes and improvements in the facility. We want it to be a civic and pleasant place for all members of the club and that you all enjoy it as you deserve.
To do this, we want to remember some actions that, no matter how small, will be great for the conservation of our spaces and for coexistence.
Be civil and if you want to consume drinks outside the restaurant areas, please ask the restaurant for plastic cups so that when you finish, they can be placed in a container recycling bin. When glass is consumed in these areas, there is a risk of breakage and possible incidents and/or accidents.

As you already know, April 23rd is Sant Jordi and the club will celebrate a festive day like every year.
Books are transmitters of knowledge, of wisdom, and bring us closer to other realities and cultures. A good book is a wonderful gift for our soul.
That’s why the club wants you to bring the book you find interesting to the club, the one you’d like others to enjoy, and we’ll give you a ticket for a book that you can choose from among those we’ll be exhibiting on St. Jordi and have the same characteristics.
Take your book to ATENCIÓ AL SOCI and participate in this initiative that aims to promote reading among members. You have until April 19 to wear it.
