PRESENTATION OF FRAN VILLAR’S BOOK ‘COMES THE SCREENS DEVOUR OUR CHILDREN’
Next Thursday, April 4 at 7 p.m., the presentation of the book by our partner Fran Villar, a child and youth psychologist who works as a specialist in the Psychiatry and Psychology Service of Hospital Sant Joan, will take place in the club’s pergola of God Barcelona.
You can purchase the Herder Publishing book at the club on the day of the presentation.
In the same, we will reflect on a controversial topic that has become a social debate, on how the use of screens affects the education and behavior of our children. That is why we want the sections of the club to attend and participate in this talk that will certainly not leave us indifferent.
THE II SLAM OF THE CATALAN PADDLE FEDERATION IN THE CLUB IS OVER
This Sunday took place the finals of the II Slam of the Catalan Padel Federation which was held at the club. Despite the rain and various weather contingencies, both the organizers and the players have rated the tournament very positively.
As for us, the Laietan coaches Marc Baizan and Jan Sanfulgencio proclaimed themselves champions of the 7th category. From the club we congratulate them and are very proud of their career in the tournament. Our club sports vice-president, Paco Díaz, was in charge of handing out the prizes to the winners.
However, we would like to thank the Catalan Padel Federation for their trust in choosing our club for their organization, and to sponsors and collaborators such as REFIX, Chupa Chups, BCN Identity, ANETO, and Vitamin Well, for their support in this event
We also want to thank the partners of the CE Laietà for their collaboration to make it easier for the tournament to be carried out as best as possible.
GUILLERMO CAVANILLAS, TRIUMPHANT IN TURKEY
Our partner Guillermo Cavanillas continues his career at the World Tennis Championships for individual and teams that is being held this year in Turkey.
The first result was favorable for the Spanish team and they won 3 to 0 in Switzerland. They will face Turkey today and USA on Tuesday.
We will continue to report on the trajectory of our partner.
SUCCESS OF WOMEN’S DAY AT THE CLUB
Last Friday, March 8, we celebrated International Women’s Day and it was a great success, the morning was full of positive energy and camaraderie in the club.
We have to thank Neka, who did pilates with the club girls, and Sílvia Monclús, from Estética Laietà, who did a skin diagnosis on the members who came.
Centx100 Laietà and Le Coq Sportif also joined us and LAIESTORE ByPadelnuestro also offered special promotions for women. The decoration made by Neus Guitart was a great success, and it held up despite the rain of the weekend.
NEW MATCHES FROM THE BASKETBALL SECTION!
This weekend only two matches were played at home, they were the Women’s Premini, which went from less to more and the victory escaped them and the Mini Blanc, where they did not come out with intensity and the rival went over
The teams that also played on Saturday morning, as visitors, were the Mini Fúcsia, who played a great game against a good opponent and were able to win, the Premini Masculí, who won thanks to the defense and control of the rebound, Cadet B, who loses after three consecutive victories and Junior A who played at home to Lluïsos de Gràcia and were able to take a great victory, with this they are ranked sixth with 10 wins and 9 defeats.
In addition, our Escoleta was able to enjoy a meeting at the Sant Joan Despí track, they played a total of 4 matches, where they had a great time, while teaching the families what been learning these last few months, keep up the good work mini panthers!
The Junior B and Children’s matches could not be played due to the rain.
In the afternoon, it was the turn of the Sots-21, who won solidly against Matadepera, so they are third with 12 wins and 6 losses, and the Senior B, who played a good match against a direct rival, the Calella, in this way they are mathematically first despite having one game less than the rest, they have 15 wins and 2 losses.
Cadet A played on Sunday morning, despite not starting the match, they were able to turn the score around to end up winning after three consecutive defeats.
To end the day, they played their matches, the Senior A which lost after a good start and having the last triple to tie the match, with this defeat against Gaudí it stands with 6 wins and 12 losses, and the Junior C who lost because of a bad start that makes them go tow for the rest of the game.
PRESENTATION OF THE ‘PROJECT EMPENTA 2024’ OF THE BASKETBALL SECTION
Nearly 70 people came to the club to learn about the initiative of the basketball section, which presented the PROJECT EMPENTA 2024, which will come into effect next season.
