BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING OF THE CE LAIETÀ FOUNDATION
Last Friday, the Board of Trustees of the C.E. Laietà Foundation met.
The Foundation was founded in 2007 as a tool to manage part of the club’s taxes. This purpose has allowed the Club to save significant amounts, such as the property tax on the 24,000 square meters owned by the club. This saving tool that the Foundation represented has now lost its reason for existing following the Club’s declaration as a public utility entity, as this declaration provides the Club with the same tax benefits as foundations.
Managing two separate entities—the club and the foundation—results in procedural complications and duplicated expenses. For this reason, the Club’s Board of Directors and the Foundation’s Board of Trustees initiated the dissolution process of the Foundation last Friday, transferring all activity to the club, which will lead to economic savings.
Once the agreement has been made by the Board, according to legislation, it must be ratified, if applicable, within the framework of the next General Assembly of members. If approved, a favorable report must be requested from the Foundations Inspectorate of the Department of Justice of the Generalitat de Catalunya before proceeding with final liquidation. More extensive information regarding this dissolution process will be published before the General Assembly.
This meeting allowed for a joint photograph of three Club presidents: Miquel Sambola, Domingo Goenaga, and the current president, Jaume Riera. Together, they represent 38 years of the club’s presidency, from 1988 when Miquel Sambola began his term, to the present day.
THE CLUB OPENS A TENDER FOR A LANDSCAPING PROJECT FOR THE ENTIRE CLUB
We inform you that this year, the Board of Directors wishes to initiate a landscaping improvement project for the club’s spaces. To this end, if you know any professional specializing in this field, they may contact the club at the email address: imatge@laieta.cat .
The tender is expected to open within 15 days and close at the end of this month.
We will make Laietà even more beautiful!
II PADEL SLAM AT LAIETÀ
This past weekend, the II SLAM of the season of the Audilegem Absolute Circuit of the Catalan Padel Federation concluded at the club. It featured a spectacular participation of 217 registered pairs, 28 of which were from our club, making us the club with the highest number of participants in this event. This fact demonstrates, once again, the involvement and commitment of our members and students of the Padel School.
The finals were attended by Núria Garcia (Catalan Padel Federation); Paco Díaz (Sports Vice President); Paula Boixader (Sports Secretary); Marcela Ferrari (Padel Director); and Blanca Martí (Coordinator), who enjoyed spectacular matches and a great atmosphere in the stands.
CE Laietà has had a magnificent experience organizing this event, which crowned Enric Sanmartí and Roger Aromi in the Men’s 1st category, and Eugenia Guimet and Ainara Pozuelo in the Women’s 1st category.
From the club, we want to sincerely thank all the players, the Referees, and the Catalan Padel Federation for their trust and professionalism in making a tournament of this level possible.

FREE BASKETBALL COACHING AT LAIETÀ
This Sunday afternoon, a new edition of the free coaching session for boys and girls born between 2018 and 2015 took place in the sports hall and the social court.
This is an initiative to promote basketball for everyone, especially within our neighborhood, and to showcase the great work of our coaches at Bàsquet Laietà. More than 30 players enjoyed 2 hours of basketball or worked on fundamental aspects such as dribbling, passing, footwork, and shooting.
Everyone was able to work on each aspect in stations directed by our 8 reference coaches in youth basketball. To finish, they did a stretching session, the family photo, the “1,2,3 Laie” cheer, and were able to recover their strength with fruit to promote healthy habits.
From Bàsquet Laietà, we are very happy with the success of this initiative and will continue working to promote sports and basketball in our neighborhood, opening the doors of our club to new members.
LAIETÀ INDOOR FOOTBALL RESULTS
Barça Escola 10 – 0 U-12 (Aleví Vermell)
Our U-12 Red team faced none other than Barça Escola. The difference in level was notable, but the match was a very enriching experience for our players, who were excited to have the opportunity to compete against an opponent of this caliber. Only the first ten goals are recorded in the official report, but beyond the scoreline, we take away the learning and the experience gained.
Esportiu Claret 5 – 2 U-16 (Cadet)
Defeat for the U-16 team in a match conditioned by the difficulty of facing Saturday mornings with the necessary intensity. It will be necessary to work on consistency and competitive attitude to maintain the level throughout the weekend.
Victory for the Menudets (5 players)
Great merit for the youngest ones, who with only five players achieved a hard-fought victory. The team continues to evolve and demonstrate commitment and the ability to overcome challenges match after match.
Gravol 5 – 3 Menuts
Good match by the Menuts against a demanding opponent. Despite the final defeat, the team competed with intensity and showed clear progression in their play. A shame about the result, which does not fully reflect the effort made.
COUNTRY ACTIVITIES RETURN TO LAIETÀ THIS FRIDAY
Country activities are back stronger than ever starting this Friday, March 6th. We restart the season with a new stage full of rhythm, energy, and a great atmosphere.
Every Friday we will enjoy a double session for all levels:
Line Dance, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Country, from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM
In addition, we start this new stage with the incorporation of our new instructor, Pilar, who will bring freshness, dynamism, and a great passion for dance.
If you like country music, want to learn line choreographies, or are simply looking for a fun activity to end the week with a good rhythm, this is your opportunity.
We wait for you to start this new stage full of complicity, music, and movement together.
LAIETÀ BOOSTS BRIDGE: ACTIVATE YOUR MIND, SHARE AND ENJOY
There are activities that go far beyond leisure. Bridge is one of them. Considered one of the most complete card games in the world, it is a real mental gymnastics: it stimulates memory, boosts concentration, reinforces strategic agility, and favors decision-making.
Several studies have shown that activities like bridge contribute to keeping the brain active and in shape, while fostering such valuable social skills as communication, cooperation, and teamwork.
With this will to promote cognitive well-being and the social life of the club, we are launching a free bridge course, open to both members and external people who want to discover this exciting game.
Start: from April 1st
One afternoon a week (April, May, and June)
Schedule: from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Minimum age: 18 years old
The course is designed both for people who want to start and for those who wish to reinforce knowledge in a pleasant, dynamic, and social environment.
If you want to stimulate your mind, learn a new discipline, and share an enriching time at the club, this is your opportunity.

MAKE YOUR CHILDREN LIVE A MOVIE-LIKE EASTER AT LAIE
This 2026, Club Esportiu Laietà once again bets on an active, creative, and energy-filled Easter with a new edition of the Laiesplai de Setmana Santa.
A renewed proposal so that children can live four intense days of movement, sport, and imagination, in a safe and educational environment. Each day will become a new scene to run, jump, play, create, and share. They will be the protagonists of their own movie.
What does Laiesplai propose?
The campus combines the sporting essence of the Club with recreational and creative activities:
Club Sports: tennis, padel, basketball, and indoor football, with a playful and non-competitive approach.
Cooperative games and activities adapted to each age group.
Creative workshops and dynamics inspired by the world of cinema.
Great novelty 2026: the swimming pool
This year, the pool is incorporated as a central space of the campus. There will be recreational pool sessions and introduction to swimming, where through play, confidence, safety, and basic skills in the water will be worked on.
A long-awaited incorporation that expands the campus experience and reinforces the sporting character of the project.

Each day is designed for children to move, get involved, and enjoy, promoting values such as cooperation, inclusion, and coexistence. At Laiesplai, it’s not just about physical activity: team-building and memories are created.
