OUR FELLOW MEMBER, MANEL MONROIG, HONOURED AS A HISTORIC FIGURE OF CATALAN BASKETBALL
Club Esportiu Laietà has reason to celebrate. The Catalan Basketball Foundation has distinguished our fellow member Manel Monroig Ramírez with the 2026 Historic Figure of Catalan Basketball award, a recognition that highlights a lifetime dedicated to basketball and his commitment to the sport.
This prestigious recognition is awarded annually to people who, through their career, dedication and love for Catalan basketball, have left an indelible mark on their clubs and on our sport.
The award ceremony will take place on Friday, 16 October, at 7:30 p.m., during the 31st Celebration of the Historic Men and Women of Catalan Basketball, which will be held at Casa Canal in Mollerussa.
From Club Esportiu Laietà, we would like to sincerely congratulate Manel Monroig on this well-deserved distinction. It is a source of pride that his career, linked to our Club and to Catalan basketball, receives such a special recognition.
Congratulations, Manel, and thank you for all these years of dedication, passion and commitment to basketball.
SATURDAY MORNING, 11 JULY: TAKE THE PLUNGE FOR MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
Next Saturday, 11 July, Club Esportiu Laietà will once again join the solidarity campaign Take the Plunge for Multiple Sclerosis, an initiative that invites clubs, swimming pools and citizens to make a small gesture in support of people living with this disease.
From 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., we encourage you to come to the Club’s swimming pool and take part in this very special day of solidarity and commitment.
Take the Plunge is much more than a swim: it is a way to contribute, to raise awareness of multiple sclerosis and to remind ourselves that, together, we can help improve the lives of many people. Volunteers from the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation will be selling merchandise, which you will be able to purchase at the Club’s pool by Bizum or in cash.
