SUCCESS OF THE 1ST NIGHT TENNIS AND PADEL TOURNAMENT IN CE LAIETÀ
Last Friday the 1st Night Tennis and Paddle Tournament was held at CE Laietà, an initiative that was well received by the club’s members.
All the participating teams enjoyed a night of sport and togetherness, where they had the opportunity to meet new people and reinforce the sense of community that identifies us. The atmosphere was unbeatable and it was lived with enthusiasm and fair play from the very beginning.
The winning team of this first edition was the green team, but from the club we would like to sincerely thank everyone for their participation. Initiatives like this demonstrate, once again, that Laietà is much more than just sport.

CE LAIETÀ HOSTS A NEW AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTION WITH RED BULL AND AUSTRIAN TENNIS PLAYER JOEL SCHWAGER
CE Laietà was once again the scene of a high-impact audiovisual production this past Thursday. Austrian player Joel Schwager, in collaboration with the renowned international brand Red Bull, carried out a photo and video shoot at our facilities, which were chosen for their quality, location and versatility.
This type of action consolidates the Club’s positioning as a reference space not only in the sports field, but also as an ideal environment for filming, events and projects with international projection.
At CE Laietà we continue to bet on initiatives that strengthen our visibility and provide added value to our community, generating synergies that have a positive impact on the day-to-day lives of our members.
JOSEP MANEL GURRERA, DISTINGUISHED WITH THE SPORTS MANAGER AWARD
We are proud to announce that our manager, Josep Manel Gurrera, has been distinguished with the Sports Manager Award within the framework of the IX Catalonia Sports Management Awards.
The award ceremony will take place on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the Auditorium of the Plana de l’Om in Manresa, in recognition of his career, leadership and contribution to the development of sports management in Catalonia.
From CE Laietà we would like to congratulate him for this well-deserved recognition, which also highlights the collective work and commitment of our club to excellence in sports management.
ALL READY FOR THE ABSOLUTE SOCIAL PADEL TOURNAMENT AT CE LAIETÀ
From May 25 to 31, CE Laietà will host one of the most anticipated sporting events for the Club’s paddle tennis fans: the Absolute Social Paddle Tournament. A week full of competition, good atmosphere and lots of fun!
The tournament will have different male and female categories (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th), to guarantee balanced matches adapted to all levels.
All participants will receive a welcome pack and, as always, there will be prizes for the champions and finalists, as well as in-person draws for all those attending the finals. In addition, this year, no one will want to be without the official Laietà Pàdel Team cap!
Registration is now open and can be done until Monday, May 19 at 10:00 a.m. The price is only €16 per person and category.

APRIL FAIR AT CE LAIETÀ!
This Friday, May 16, CE Laietà will dress up to celebrate an unforgettable April Fair! Come and enjoy an evening full of music, dance and joy open to all members of the Club.
Starting at 7:30 p.m., Mercedes Bastard’s students will offer a vibrant exhibition of Sevillanas, the fruit of their work in the Club’s classes. A perfect opportunity to see the passion and art of this traditional dance live.
And starting at 9 p.m., the pace will pick up with the live performance of the rumba group ALMAYSON, who will keep us dancing until 11 p.m. with a festive and participatory proposal that you won’t want to miss.

GREAT SUCCESSIONS OF BASKETBALL LAIETÀ
The Bàsquet Laietà is in for a treat. This week, the Catalan Basketball Federation confirmed that our Senior Men will compete in the 2a Catalana next season, as the best third-placed team in all of Catalonia. A well-earned and fully deserved promotion that comes after a season full of difficulties, but which the team has managed to overcome with effort, commitment and club spirit.
The return to the category occurs just one year after the relegation, and has been achieved thanks to a group of players who were mostly trained in the lower categories of CE Laietà. We wholeheartedly congratulate the Senior players, their coaches and all the people who have collaborated, whether actively participating in training or helping from other teams. It is a promotion for everyone and for everyone.
We would also like to thank the support received from family, partners and fans throughout the season. Thank you for joining us. Congratulations, Laie!
In addition, the Junior B team has managed to qualify for the Final 8 of the Barcelona B-level Championship after achieving a deserved second place. Congratulations to the entire team for this great result.
And we cannot fail to highlight a historical milestone: the Mini A team, after an exciting victory against Badalona Bàsquet, will participate for the first time in the club’s 102-year history in the Final 8 of the Catalonia A1 Championship. A huge success that demonstrates the talent and enthusiasm of our young players. Congratulations, “locos bajitos”!
The present and future of our basketball is built day by day with effort, passion and values. Long live Bàsquet Laietà!
THE 3X3 FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT IS COMING TO CE LAIETÀ
On May 31st, CE Laietà will experience a morning full of excitement, fun and sport with its long-awaited 3×3 Futsal tournament, aimed at boys and girls born between 2013 and 2020.
The activity will take place from 9 am to 1:30 pm and is designed for the little ones to enjoy football in a fun, dynamic and friendly atmosphere.
Teams must be made up of a minimum of 3 children from the same year of birth. The price per participant is €10, a great opportunity to experience a sporting and educational day in the heart of Laietà.
