WAR PHOTOGRAPHER RICARDO GARCÍA VILANOVA TO GIVE
A CONFERENCE AT CE LAIETÀ
CE Laietà will host an exceptional conference on December 10th at 7 pm, given by Ricardo García Vilanova, one of the most renowned war photojournalists on the international scene.
With over 25 years documenting armed conflicts around the world, García Vilanova is a leading figure in photojournalism. His career includes such prestigious milestones as a nomination for the Pulitzer Prize and winning the World Press Photo award, an honour achieved by very few professionals in Spain.
His photographs have been published in major outlets such as Life, Newsweek, Time, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Le Monde, Liberation, Paris Match, The Guardian, The Times, Die Welt, Der Spiegel and Stern, among others.
As a freelance video journalist, he has worked for CNN, BBC, France24, Aljazeera, Channel 4, VICE, PBS and Euronews.
He is also well known to the public due to the episode in 2013, when he and journalist Javier Espinosa were kidnapped while trying to leave the Syrian war, an event that received international coverage and fortunately ended with their release.
During his talk at Laietà, the photographer will share experiences and reflections on his work in conflict zones, offering both a privileged and raw insight into the reality of war and the role of photojournalism.
The event is aimed at members as well as anyone interested in photography, journalism and international affairs.

From December 1st to 12th, we invite all members to bring a new toy that is non-violent and non-sexist.

On Friday, December 12th, from 4 pm to 8 pm, we will hold a very special afternoon at the Club with the collaboration of Solidarity Firefighters.

Firefighters showing their intervention equipment and letting children experience what it is like to be a firefighter for a day.
Sale of solidarity toys (memory games, cooperative games, etc.).
For each toy sold, Solidarity Firefighters will donate another to the campaign.

We present the Laiesplai Christmas Camp “A Hollywood Christmas”, a camp full of fantasy, adventure and moments that will make kids shine like real movie stars.
This year, children will enjoy experiences inspired by some of the most beloved Christmas worlds. Each day will feel like a special film shoot: stories with ice princesses, magical train journeys to the North Pole, funny escapades, mischievous characters and plenty of surprises.

THIS CHRISTMAS, FOOTBALL CAMP AT LAIETÀ
These holidays, boys and girls aged 4 to 12 can enjoy CE Laietà’s Christmas Football Camp – a perfect opportunity to have fun, learn and play sport in a festive, family atmosphere.
The camp will take place on December 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31, with different schedule options to suit each family’s needs:
9 am to 5 pm with lunch and snack
9 am to 1 pm without lunch
9 am to 3 pm with lunch
