CE LAIETÀ HAS PRESENTED HOOP, THE NEW TECHNOLOGICAL EXPERIENCE FOR 3X3 BASKETBALL
Club Esportiu Laietà, the dean of Spanish basketball and the only club recognized in the Spanish Basketball Federation’s Hall of Fame, presented yesterday, Wednesday, the incorporation of HOOP Streetball Community, a technological platform that transforms the basketball court into an intelligent environment with real-time data, continuous competition, and a digital experience for players.
The event was attended by former basketball player Jordi Villacampa, the first vice-president of the Catalan Basketball Federation, Josep Maria Rofes, as well as the Sports Councilor of the Barcelona City Council, David Escudé.
During the presentation, the president of CE Laietà, Jaume Riera, highlighted the club’s commitment to innovation and the incorporation of technology through sport, a strategic line that allows for the continued promotion of new sports experiences and reinforces the club’s positioning as an innovation space within the city of Barcelona.
With this initiative, CE Laietà becomes the first club in Barcelona to integrate this technology, also reaffirming its commitment to the Les Corts district and the promotion of new forms of sports practice adapted to modern times.
The event featured a demonstration of the electronic hoop with Blanca Martí, Mini B Female coach; Fran Andreatta, Senior and U-20 player; and Manolo Rivera, former player and father of Hugo and Alejandro, who play in our youth academy. They were able to get a first-hand look at this new technological proposal applied to the basketball court.

OUR CLUB HOSTS THE T-XIV, MEETING OF FORMER GENERAL SECRETARIES OF SPORT
Our club has once again been the setting for the T-XIV meeting of former General Secretaries of Sport, a gathering that brought together prominent figures who have played a relevant role in the management and development of sports policy in our country.
The event was attended by Ramon Agenjo, Joan Anton Camuñas, Pere Sust, Leandro Negre, Jordi Alcover, Jaume Conejero, and Francesc Sanahuja, all of whom were linked, at different stages, to the institutional responsibility of directing and promoting sport from the administration.
The meeting served as a space for reunion and reflection on the evolution of sport, the role of institutions, and the future challenges of the sector. In a cordial and relaxed atmosphere, the attendees shared experiences and visions on the development of sport over the last decades.
For our club, it has been an honor to host a meeting of this level, which highlights the role of sports entities as spaces for meeting, dialogue, and promotion of sports activity.
This new edition of the T-XIV reaffirms the importance of keeping alive the relationship between those who have decisively contributed to the construction of the current sports model and the entities that continue to promote grassroots sport.
WEEKEND BASKETBALL MATCHES
This weekend we have a lot of basketball again, and several of our teams will be playing at home. A great opportunity to come to the sports hall, cheer them on, and enjoy the club atmosphere.
The teams playing at home this Saturday are Mini B, Infantil B, Cadet B, Senior B, and Senior A, so a day full of matches and excitement awaits us.

Senior A will have very special support from the stands.
The youngest members of the club, our Pre-Minis, will come to cheer and experience the match together, becoming the best fans in the sports hall.
It will be a beautiful occasion to see how the club spirit grows, from the youngest to the oldest.

ON THURSDAYS, COME TO PLAY CANASTA AT CE LAIETÀ
Club Esportiu Laietà continues to expand social activities so that members can enjoy the club also in a relaxed and social environment. For this reason, on Thursdays, a new appointment is proposed for all those who want to play Canasta, a very popular card game ideal for sharing a good time in company.
Canasta is a card game usually played in pairs and is part of the rummy family of games. The objective is to form combinations of cards of the same value and achieve the so-called “canastas,” which are sets of seven identical cards. It is a dynamic, strategic, and very social game that combines skill, memory, and complicity among players.
This initiative aims to offer a meeting space for fans of this game and also for those who want to learn or start playing.

Club Esportiu Laietà once again bets on an active, creative, and energy-filled Easter with a new edition of the Laiesplai de Setmana Santa (Easter Youth Camp).
A renewed proposal so that children can live four intense days of movement, sport, and imagination, in a safe and educational environment. Each day will become a new scene to run, jump, play, create, and share. They will be the protagonists of their own movie.

This year, the pool is incorporated as a central space of the campus. There will be recreational pool sessions and introduction to swimming, where through play, confidence, safety, and basic skills in the water will be worked on.

Each day is designed for children to move, get involved, and enjoy, promoting values such as cooperation, inclusion, and coexistence. At Laiesplai, it’s not just about physical activity: team-building and memories are created.
