Tennis Night: An Unforgettable Evening
Last Friday, we enjoyed Tennis Night, the most eagerly awaited event of the season for our tennis section. It was a very special evening during which awards were presented to the champions of the Club Championship, Platinum Tournament, Club League, and Catalonia Championship, as well as several individual recognitions.
With more than 200 attendees, the evening once again showcased the incredible vitality and strong sense of community that define tennis at our Club. Thank you to everyone who made it possible!

Sergi Alamillo Appointed New Technical Director of Laietà Basketball
Club Esportiu Laietà has appointed Sergi Alamillo as the new Technical Director of its basketball section, strengthening the club’s sporting structure with the aim of continuing to grow and consolidate the project.
With extensive experience in the world of basketball, Alamillo takes on the technical leadership of the section and will work alongside coordinators Jordi Lleal, head of the men’s teams, and Sandra Broch, coordinator of the women’s teams, completing the club’s basketball leadership team.
In his first statements as Technical Director of CE Laietà, Sergi Alamillo said:
“I’m delighted to join the CE Laietà basketball project and help it continue to grow. A great deal of excellent work has already been done, and I hope to contribute my experience to further develop basketball at this historic club.”
The Club warmly welcomes Sergi and wishes him every success in this new role. We are confident that his experience and expertise will help continue the growth of a section with a proud tradition and an exciting future.
Los Shupitos Bring the Music to Laie Nights This Friday
This Friday, July 17, get ready for a night full of music, rhythm, and great atmosphere at CE Laietà!
From 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Los Shupitos will take the stage at Laie Nights with a concert that promises plenty of singing, dancing, and an unforgettable summer evening.
Another great opportunity to get together, share wonderful moments, and bring this concert series to a fitting close—with energy, joy, and fantastic live music.

The New CrossFit Area at CE Laietà Is Almost Ready
The finish line is in sight. Over the next two weeks, we’ll complete the final work on the Club Esportiu Laietà’s new outdoor gym, located between tennis courts 1 and 2 and the children’s playground.
This new facility has been specially designed for CrossFit and Hyrox, two disciplines that combine strength, endurance, and functional training and continue to grow in popularity.
The area will be open to members during the Club’s regular opening hours (7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and until 9:00 p.m. on Sundays), with free access whenever scheduled classes are not taking place.
Capacity will be limited to 20 people during open access and 16 participants during instructor-led sessions.
The countdown has begun! Very soon you’ll be able to enjoy this fantastic new training space, further expanding CE Laietà’s sports facilities.
Racketty: A New Service at CE Laietà
We’re pleased to introduce Racketty, a new service available to our members on tennis courts 15 and 16 (the centre courts).
Simply scan the QR codes located on the courts to access a website where you can complete a short form to activate the recording service.
Thanks to this technology, you’ll be able to enjoy cloud-based recordings and video analysis of your matches and training sessions.

The Laiestiu WONDERFUL Team Has Received Its First Capybaras!
At CE Laietà, we believe every child is unique, special and… Wonderful. Thanks to our collaboration with Mr. Wonderful, each week one Laiestiu group becomes our Wonderful Team, a recognition that rewards joy, teamwork, respect, and the enthusiasm to make every day unforgettable.
This week, alongside the excitement of the World Cup, the children from the Wonderful Team received a very special gift: one of the adorable National Teams Capybaras, the new Mr. Wonderful collection inspired by the countries taking part in the tournament.
This colourful and fun collection has quickly become a favourite among children, encouraging them to discover, collect, and share their passion for sport in a unique way.
We would like to thank Mr. Wonderful for their trust and support in this initiative, helping us continue to promote values such as friendship, fair play, enthusiasm, and teamwork.
Because, after all, every child at Laiestiu is… Wonderful!
Stay Fit This August at CE Laietà
Summer is no excuse to stop taking care of yourself! Throughout August, CE Laietà will continue offering a full programme of group fitness classes so you can keep training, stay active, and enjoy sport during the holidays.
Body Pump, Spinning, Zumba, Pilates, Body Balance, Tabata, and many more activities await you in Studio 1, with morning and evening sessions designed to suit different fitness levels and goals.
Check the weekly timetable, book your class, and enjoy an August full of energy, health, and movement.
